I was chatting with a candidate before he went for a job interview, and suggested he should look up the interviewers online before the meeting.

“Wouldn’t that look creepy?” asked the job seeker.

I don’t think so.

I’ve never had a hiring manager complain about a job seeker looking them up on LinkedIn before the interview.

Hiring managers expect you to look them up on LinkedIn before the interview. If you don’t, it could be perceived as a lack of initiative and resourcefulness.

What do you think? Could it be considered creepy to look up the hiring manager online before the job interview? Let me know in the comments!
